Appetite for Construction

In 2021, I was invited by the Senior Curator at the Contemporary Arts Center to curate an installatiaion as part of the exhibition Artist-Run Spaces, coorganized by the CAC and Wavepool.

For my contribution to the exhibition, I conducted archival research on the history of artist-run project spaces in Cincinnati dating back to the 1970s, with a focus on the exhibition and performance ephemera generated by each project.

My research focused on four artist-run projects: C.A.G.E., or Cincinnati Artists’ Group Effort (1978–1994); semantics (1992–2015); DiLeia Contemporary (1996–2001), and Publico (2003–2008).

Cincinnati Art Book Fair

In 2017 I founded the Cincinnati Art Book Fair as an outgrowth of a smaller fair I had been organizing for several years called Limited Press.

With the Cincinnati Art Book Fair I perform multilple roles, including design, event production, installation, and commmunications/outreach.

None of this would be possible without my co-director and a small rotating cast of collaborators. Together, we welcome over 30 artists’ projects and 1000 visitors over the course of two days for an art fair, readings, film screenings, and exhibitions.
